A combination of state, private and federal funding programs have been solidified to complete the 13,400-acre forest conservation project near Whitefish that produces benefits to forest health, the local economy, outdoor recreation, conservation of wildlife habitat and more. The Trust for Public Land was the catalyst for the project and a project leader.
