Prickly Pear Land Trust, after years of working and waiting, closed a transaction last week that allowed PPLT to transfer recently-acquired land to the City of Helena, and literally within hours work was underway to improve forest health and diminish wildfire risk on the property. Under the headline “Helena begins thinning work on 72-acre land donation“ the Helena Independent Record reported on the transaction and the wildfire mitigation efforts.
